My dearest Shakespeare,

Behold a young maiden, bearing a shoulder and cheeks rosy as wine.

Beseech her on the Twelfth Night.

Seek her among the throng of noble people, both young and old, at the foot of the hill.

Where she awaits to frolic — with cheese and wine.

Because rain or shine,

The stars will align.

And she will surely smile.

The Singaporean leg of Shakespeare in the Park was held at Fort Canning Park. Twelfth night was produced by the Singapore Repertory Theatre.   Superb performance and fantastic concept! Even if Shakespeare is not your cup of tea (like me), the excellent parks-eye view production will make you forget that their Shakespearean accent wasn’t real.
